GILDING WORKSHOP            £195 inc VAT

All materials and equipment provided.  No experience needed.

Learn about:

 

• Traditional Water Gilding and Oil Gilding

• Surface preparation with gesso and bole

• Use of size

• Applying 23.5 carat gold leaf

• Gilding with fake gold, copper and silver

• Creating patination and an aged surface

• Cleaning and conservation

​

Students may bring in items of furniture on which they would like advice and will take home a samples of techniques.

​

Maximum of 8 students in a class. 

​

9.30am-4.30pm                        

Tea, coffee & cake provided.  Please bring your own lunch.
