PAPER CORD & SEAGRASS WORKSHOP     £175 inc VAT

A one-day course exploring a range of materials including Danish Cord, Seagrass and Paper Rush, and in which you will learn to make a square-weave pattern on a traditional or modern seat.

By choosing a cord that suits your chair and your home, and by picking from a selection of patterns, you can create a unique piece of furniture.

We'll start with an introduction to tools, materials and techiniques and then select a cord and a weave.  You'll get the hang of it very quickly and find that weaving is a calm and almost meditative process.  You will also receive full guidance on all the tricky bits that give your work a professional finish.  At the end of the day you'll take away a seat with a new lease of life and the skills to do many more.

All materials and equipment provided, but please bring your own frame to work on.​  A photograph in advance is required so we can approve its suitability.
